Woodstock Film Festival

This past weekend the Woodstock Film Festival was held in New York, and you might remember our previous entry about Kara's new movie The Sisterhood of Night being the festivals centrepiece. The movie had two sold out screenings, one of which Kara attended – along with a few of the cast members. Sadly there aren't many photos from the premiere screening but the few that have been shared by the cast/crew have all been added in our gallery. If any more appears I'll add them too of course.

A few other exciting news concerning the festival was the award ceremony held on the 18th (the same day as Sisterhood's premiere). Caryn Waechter, the director for Sisterhood, won the award for Best Female Feature Director! Huge congrats to her from all of us!
Also, screenwriter Marilyn Fu mentioned in an interview that The Sisterhood of Night is planned to hit the American theatres in April next year – no international dates yet – and hopefully we'll get a trailer soon enough. Keep checking in for any updates regarding the Sisterhood.

ICYMI: Recently Kara filmed a new movie called Fan Girl. It's unknown what the movie is about or who Kara's character is. The movie is directed by Paul Jarrett and has no connections to the novel Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell.
