Fan Girl – LA Film Festival screening

Kara stepped out in a gorgeous dress this week at a special screening of the new up-coming movie Fan Girl at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 15. Joining her on the carpet were a few cast and crew members, including co-star Kiernan Shipka and director Paul Jarrett.

Fan Girl was filmed in 2014 and Kara plays Jamie – the best friend of Shipka's character Telulah. Together they try to get Telulah's dream of having her favourite band appear in her movie. There is still no official release date for the film but my guesses are that they are going to appear at a few festival before a official premiere later in the year – keep watching here for updates!

I've added all the photos to our gallery so take a look!

And in case you missed it: here's the first clips from Fan Girl!

The Sisterhood of Night comes to New York

New York, tell us your secrets!

Yesterday (April 2) Kara stepped out in New York City for the premiere of her new film The Sisterhood of Night. Joining her on the red carpet were most of her co-stars, as well as a few crew members. The premiere was held at the SVA Theatre at 7pm, and then continued with an after party with lots of music and a photobooth at The Park – a restaurant in Chelsea, New York. Kara rocked a super edgy look with a black crop top, and maxi sheer skirt. Safe to say: we loved the look over here.

We are now just 7 days away from the release of Sisterhood, and American fans can pre-order the film on iTunes or Amazon Instant Video. The film will be released on the US Netflix in June. Still no word on a worldwide release.

Photos from the event (plus a few newly added photos) can be found in our gallery.

Quitters for SXSW 2015

Exciting news, Quitters is finally hitting the silver screen! The movie has been chosen for the 2015 line-up of the South By Southwest Film Festival (SXSW).

Directed by Noah Pritzker, Quitters was filmed back in the summer of 2013 in San Francisco, and is suppose to be something of a darkly comic look at difficult people in the world of privileged San Francisco. It tells the story of the Raymans, a wealthy Jewish family that's falling apart. The son, Clark, is a bright and curious high schooler with a talent for manipulation. As his mother May enters treatment for a pill addiction, and he and his father Roger stop getting along, Clark thinks about running away from home. He just needs to decide where to go. Kara plays Etta, a girl who is supposedly struggling with her parents divorce, not much else has been said about her role.

Now the movie has been picked SXSW 2015, a film and music festival held in Austin, Texas, and is to be screened sometime between March 13-21. Once the official date I will make sure to post it.
Together with all this, we also got the first still of the movie, featuring Kara and her co-star Benjamin Konigsberg. You can see it here above and also in our gallery together with some old set photos from 2013.
