So you may remember the mention of Kara's latest project Fan Girl in our previous post, well now we finally have a short summary on what the movie (which is revealed to be a comedy) is about posted by Deadline.
A 15-year-old post-Millennial teen (Shipka) who lives for making movies and worshiping her favorite band. Given only a few days to complete a final film project, she comes up with an idea that could bring her two passions together.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kara will play the role of the main character's smart-mouthed best friend.Fan Girl wrapped just about a month ago and was shot in New York City. It also stars Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), Meg Ryan and the American punk rock band All Time Low will also appear as themselves and lend their music to the official soundtrack. The movie is directed by Paul Jarrett, which will be his directional debut, and it's written by Gina O’Brien as a semi-autobiographical script.
There are no words yet on when the anticipated release will be, but I would guess it would be safe to assume that it would be sometime late next year.
